Peter Pan was first introduced in the novel The Little White Bird in 1902. The play Peter Pan; or, the Boy Who Would Not Grow Up, written by Scottish playwright J. M. Barrie, hit the world stage in 1904. Peter Pan soon became a part of modern mythology.

In 1953, Disney's Peter Pan became the most memorable adaptation of the story. Peter Lives in Neverland. He has the ability to fly and never grows older. He leads a troupe known as the Lost boys and frequently encounters pirates, fairies, mermaids, and Native Americans.

How to Draw Peter Pan Step 1

1. Begin by sketching Peter's head. Use curved lines to form the chin and sides of the face. Then, use short lines that meet at points to draw the hair along his forehead. Finish enclosing the head by drawing a curved line across the top of it. This forms the bottom of the hat. Use curved lines to enclose two connected triangular shapes, enclosing the hat.

2. Extend two curved lines from the hat and allow them to meet at a point. Then, draw a curved line down the center of the figure, forming a feather. Use curved lines to draw Peter's pointed ear, as well his neck and tufts of hair alongside it.

3. Enclose curved triangles at the base of the neck to form the collar of the garment. Then, use additional curved lines to sketch his shoulder, arm, and sleeve.

4. Draw the remaining shoulder, arm, and hands using curved lines. Notice that the bottom of the sleeve consists of short, curved lines that meet at points.

5. Enclose the torso using a curved line. Then, draw Peter's knife using an oval, rectangle, larger oval, and a pair of lines that meet at a point.

6. Draw a curved line parallel to the bottom of the torso to form a belt. Then, draw the bottom of Peter's tunic. Extend curved lines From the belt, and connect them at the bottom with "V" shaped lines.

7. Extend a pair of curved lines downward to form the leg, noting the overlap that indicates the knee. Use curved lines to sketch the irregular, pointed shape of the shoe, noticing the curved rectangular collar and the curved lines that indicate a bend.
